Tabellas Restaurant, blood orange infused tequila
I shot this at Tabellas Restaurant in Amherst MA last night, I was impressed. Really good food, and a firm commitment to real farm to table politics. The menu changes according to what is available that week, they are all local all the time. I spent about three hours in the kitchen and these guys were pumping out hearty and interesting meals, nothing went out that was not just right. I tried the misty Knolls farm open pastured chicken liver pate wrapped in Vermont smoked and cured bacon. It was wonderful, stole my heart and then…. nearly stopped it. It is decadent and plenty for two people. I also had the Glidden Point Main oysters fried in a bread and cornmeal coating and a smoked Serrano pepper and caper remoulade. The Bar was a happening part of the place with an extensive drink list. Next time I am going to back to try the tequila. It looked very tempting. Here is link to check out more about Tabellas.
