Serra da Estrela natural park is located on the highest Mountain range in central Portugal. The landscape and spectacular views are dotted by incredible boulder formations, some of which resemble people and others that were utilized as shepherds homes and as retreats many years ago for tuberculosis sufferers who came for the healing powers of the fresh air and climate.
