The Barber of El Toboso

The small town of El Toboso located in the Province of Toledo in central Spain, is where the character Dulcinea, the woman whom Don Quixtoe loved in Miguel Cervantes famous book. Although a work of fiction, the places in the book are real, and still hold a sense of magic and living history. I traveled the route of Don Quixote recently on a tour of Spain’s Parador hotels with a small group of Journalists. Above is the photographer D K Bhaskar getting a trim at the Barber Carrasco in Toboso by Rodrigas Manuel, who’s family has been cutting hair for a hundred years.
