Plaza del Coso Harvest Festival

The plaza del Coso with Peñafiel Castle rising in the background was the scene of this fantastic harvest festival deep in the heart of wine country in the Ribera del Duro region of Castile y Leon Spain. There were dancing and copious amounts of local red wine. Platters of homemade chorizo, cheese, and fresh bread were passed around to all, including my self. I tried to refuse out of politeness. But as one Spaniard I met said to me, ” we don’t offer food just for you, we do it for ourselves, it makes us feel human.” #spain — with Richard Frisbie, Sofia Perez, Erik R.
