A moment in time. Jakes diner Northampton.
I shot this for a cool project by lens, the photo blog of the NY Times. On May 2nd at exactly 11:00 Am, photographers all over the world recorded a simultaneous moment in time.On any given Sunday for the past 20 years you can find me at Jake’s diner in Northampton. The Times has created an interactive digital globe you can spin and checkout photos from around the planet. Here is a link to A Moment in Time

Does Bruce know he is internationally famous?
I live in the UK now but know Jakes and know Bruce…This picture was a lovely reminder for me of my time in NoHo. The 10.30 coffee and papers and irreverent comentary on domestic politics became habitual. Your chosen moment was also my chosen moment…how extraordianry for me to find you had captured it and made it iconic…archtypal and that I should stumble upon it on the web! I am English and was struggling to find my place in the US at the time but found in that diner something deeply reassuring. Great picture. Thank you.
